The other night at a WWE Live event the legendary man known as The Undertaker came back after a nearly young hiatus minus that one night in the summer.
Obviously setting up his possible return to live television and in which he will wrestle at WrestleMania to continue his undefeated streak.
While we here at Hachland has had a sordid history with the Dead Man with the entire #PaulBearerHatesMe and #TheUndertakerWontPutMeOver. We recognize the greatness that is The Undertaker. While we are hyped about the inevitable return of The Undertaker it will not change our WrestleMania 29 plans.
Plans that originally were to go to the event but now have since changed with the shocking realization of surcharges.
We haven’t completely sold out to the hype, yet we are building up to it. We have a short list of who we’d like to see The Undertaker faces as well as everyone else that reads this. And well, why don’t I just shoot out our list of who should be the opponent to face The Undertaker!
The feeling is Triple H could be one of the possibilities to wrestle The Undertaker. But our feeling is that due to their previous matches on WrestleMania’s it would be unfair for their 4th match. Each one of their previous matches at WrestleMania has resulted in the Dead Man getting the win. Those previous matches were at 17th, 28th and the 29th WrestleMania’s.
The only feeling is that Brock Lesnar will face The Undertaker. Being that at tonight’s WWE Raw the Chairman Vince McMahon has challenged Paul Heyman to a match and well, a few weeks ago Lesnar came out and attacked McMahon. Thus being we need a big power house wrestler to fight back Lesnar. So why not the Undertaker. Unless we see Triple H save his father in law.
We have also seen a UFC incident with Lesnar and the Undertaker which could be the for runner for this feud.
Feelings? Probably strong to see this match at WrestleMania. Especially with the points being that it’s never happened at WrestleMania before and that WWE has been recently having Brock do the job.
But maybe we just wanted to see this Ric Flair picture.
How about one last time? Foley versus Taker. I would love to see one more match. But then again I’m not sure if either of their bodies could with stand the punishment they’d have to showcase to make this math happen.
Wouldn’t it be great though? I think it would! Could be a great way for Mick Foley to go out and join the Hall Of Fame.
Another sure bet to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania is CM Punk. Which up until Royal Rumble could have been billed as Streak vs. Streak, as CM Punk held the World Title for over a year without being defeated. Nonetheless though we could still see this match as the entire McMahon vs. Heyman match on tonight’s Raw.
Would the Dead Man and Mr. Straight Edge blow the roof off at WrestleMania? Probably not. Especially seeing it’s being held at an outdoor arena.
Okay maybe this is another wild card pick but what if it Colt Cabana debuted and wrestled the Taker and actually beat him. Would definitely put him over. But then again he isn’t signed to a WWE contract nor is there any chance of him being signed any time soon.
But it would quite interesting to see although it wouldn’t make the buy rate go up which they’re all wanting to happen.
Brother versus brother for one more time!? Another Kane versus Undertaker match would be cool and something I’d quite enjoy. But it won’t happen because right now Kane is on the way to fighting his tag team partner Daniel Bryan. Because WWE hates tag team wrestling.
But it would be cool to see Kane get a third chance to beat his brother at WrestleMania. After all third time is the charm!
While we’ve seen the two match up numerous times we haven’t seen the ultimate battle between good versus evil which this definitely is.
Too bad we’ll have to see Twice In A Lifetime….
Well maybe Twice In A Lifetime isn’t going to happen? Maybe it will. One thing is for sure the Rock could surely beat the Dead Man. But would we really want to see that? Maybe.
I’m not digging it. I would rather see The Rock versus John Cena.
Why not? I think The Undertaker should battle his former manager. I think it’s time because of the unjustice Paul Bearer has done on Twitter to me….
Okay, maybe not. But it would be something cool for a Sunday Night Heat. They still have those right?
What are your thoughts for those choices? Are there other people you’d rather see The Undertaker face at WrestleMania? Maybe Jack Swagger in a Up In Smoke match? How about Steve Austin in a winner gets a hover round match?
And for those wonder what’s the Undertaker’s streak at WrestleMania is… how about this…
Undertaker defeated Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka
Undertaker defeated Jake “The Snake” Roberts
Undertaker defeated Giant Gonzalez (won by Disqualification)
Undertaker defeated King Kong Bundy
Undertaker defeated Diesel
Undertaker defeated Sycho Sid (WWF Championship No Disqualification Match)
Undertaker defeated Kane
Undertaker defeated Big Boss Man (Hell in a Cell)
Undertaker defeated Triple H
Undertaker defeated Ric Flair (No Disqualification)
Undertaker defeated Big Show and A-Train (Handicap Match)
Undertaker defeated Kane
Undertaker defeated Randy Orton
Undertaker defeated Mark Henry (Casket Match)
Undertaker defeated Batista (World Heavyweight Championship Match)
Undertaker defeated Edge (World Heavyweight Championship Match)
Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels
Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels (No Count Out, No Disqualification, Streak vs Career Match)
Undertaker defeated Triple H (No Holds Barred)
Undertaker defeated Triple H (Hell in a Cell w/Shawn Michaels as Guest Referee)
Is there anyone I haven’t mentioned you’d like to see The Undertaker wrestle?
How about someone on The Streak List?
A-Train now known as Tensai in a dance off?
Jimmy Snuka? Loser gets to meet me?
Jake The Snake? Loser has to live in the same house with Diamond Dallas Page? Or how about DDP? If DDP loses he must stop peddling DDP Yoga?
