In continuing this 20 Days Of Chill Writing Challenge, I have been participating and it’s now time for a new post. As you may remember two weeks ago I started this challenge and have now completed 13 days worth of the challenge and you can read them both by checking out 20 Days Of Chill.
Today is a new day and a new challenge and today’s theme is:
If you had a million dollars…
Timing is everything. A week ago this would be a relevant post due to the PowerBall being huge news and raising to 1.6 billion dollars. Even I bought a ticket and talked about things I would buy if I did have that kind of money, What I Would Do With 900 Million Dollars!
As I joked through doing various things, I came to the ultimate solution, I’d just sit back and write the great American novel. While, it would be particular altered by the fact that everyone in the world knew my name and I was well, rich. It still would be great.
That’s what I would do if I had a million dollars.
I’d retire. I’d spend more time writing, I have so many things I want to write about, but never have the time. Over the past 2 years or so, after getting a new cellphone I took a ton of pictures, I want to write about them. I’ve traveled to so many new places, I’d write about that.
The other day I rode the train, story pending, and I’d do that. I’d just relax, travel the world and write about it. I think that’s what I would love to do the most.
Heck, if tourism was a job, I’d apply for that in a minute. Maybe there is a way I can find myself into that position, but then again, I probably need a four year degree and some other outlandish requirement that really doesn’t matter to anyone in the world.
As I think of having a million dollars, and the thoughts of what I would do, they are very similar to what my dream job would be. It’s like answering that question your High School guidance counselor asked “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
My answer was and still is just have fun, that’s what I want to do.
