As I continued walking, I’ll continue talking, or well, at least writing about what I did on Saturday at the Schenectady Soup Stroll.

In my last post, I discussed the soups and the locations I visited. Now I will continue with this post as I took a lot of pictures, visited a lot of places and enjoy a bunch of soups!

Next up we stopped at the Manhattan Exchange, they had an awesome Cheeseburger Chowder which I enjoyed greatly and they even handed out coupons for free soup on your next visit.

We then went a few doors down to Cafe Nola and enjoyed some Mardi Gras Gumbo which was a combo of gumbo, rice and well, overall yum.

The line was probably the longest out of the various places I had visited but it was slowly moving so we stayed in line and enjoyed talking with this guy holding the menus.

They had a chalkboard and it reminded me that Mardi Gras is coming up. I wonder where I’d like to go for that day.

As we left and continued on the stroll, we found another place to visit, but they were not having any soup.

And then I noticed this fancy housing location in which a friend of my dad’s worked on to help build. He spent long nights and hours going wire by wire by wire to put this together.

This is the corner of Liberty Street and Lafayette Street. Do you know what building is located here?

This is the Schenectady Town Hall. I didn’t feel like crossing the parking lot to get a closer picture.

We got to our next location the new Firestone 151 which served up the Firestone Chowder. Not sure where they got that name from. It was really good and had f20160130_131356

As we were continuing on our stroll I took this picture.

I found this place to be hilarious. Sad that it wasn’t open for the stroll, but it actually hasn’t opened yet. It’ll open February 5th.
