Today I got word it was National Egg Day. Which means a national holiday right? Well, not excatly, but it did mean that McDonald’s was offering Egg McMuffins for 63 cents. Yep, you read that right 63 pennies.
So I got a bunch, 4 to be exact, that was were they put the limit to. I added a Diet Coke, because what else would go great with 4 Egg McMuffins than a diet soda?
On my adventure for the day, which would be limited because I have to work later, I decided to go on the other side of the Mohawk River and see the Erie Canal on the other side.
The other side ended up being in Vischer Ferry, New York which is technically part of Saratoga County. Not knowing what was over there, yes, I’ve lived a county over for nearly all my life, I headed over and was pleasantly shocked.
My GPS destination was the Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve from my short sided research was a location on the Erie Canal where you could see the canal. I didn’t do any other research from that, actually I researched the location the day before when I visited another location on the Erie Canal and saw this one via Google Maps.
It turned out to be a nice like walking trail, plus there was a Whipple Bridge there.
But that’s got nothing to do with how awesome my Muffin was, especially by the canal.
